aren't you referring to Apple Maps, the built in Maps app on IOS 6? I
don't think this statement applies to Google Maps, which is what was
being asked about.

Dear Friends,
I am curious to know as to how to use it. Is there any way that will
teach us how to use it well? Please?
Thank you.

Hello, everyone.
I am having great difficulty understanding how Google Maps works.

Hello, everyone.
I am having great difficulty understanding how Google Maps works.
Might this be because I am using an iPhone 3GS with iOS 5? The Google
Maps page on the App Store says my phone and OS meet the system
requirements, but it may well be that VoiceOver does better with
button labeling
Hi, I think that depends on where you live and the quality of the map
data. In terms of features, Navigon is more speech friendly with Voice
Over I think. Plus, Navigon also will give you audible turn by turn
directions for both vehicle and walking modes where as Google Maps only

Hi, unfortunately no spoken turn by turn navigation when walking. So far
the only app which does this from what I know if Navigon.

I can't say which is better. Google Maps is free, where as Navigon
costs. Navigon stores maps locally so you aren't using data while you're
out and about, whereas with Google Maps you're using data to get to the
servers and you won't be able to use Google Maps if you don't have any
service at all.
Hi,
are google maps better than Navigon?
What are advantages/disadvantages of using Navigon or google maps?

Do you get spoken turn by turn directions in walking mode? I haven't

Google Maps.

Hi, have you looked at the app description? It is an app which gives you
turn by turn directions for walking and/or driving. It also can give you
directions from point a to point b using the local bus or transit
system. Here in Houston it's come in very handy in letting me know how

Hi again,
please how do google maps work?
Do they provide turn-by-turn navigation?
Or why are they good to use?
Sory for all these questions, but I've never used them before.
Thanks
