I believe it is to avoid downloading a long message unless you want it
completely downloaded. So it saves time and data if there is a lot of
it and you may not want it.

where VO will say "hidden text." I just double tap on it and the recipe text
comes up, but I'm curious to know what hidden text is and why it is hidden in
the first place.
