there appear to be some new buttons and things in the app that is now
Kruptos and was iDisk plus, and before that was known as iClean.
firstly, the app used to default to safe mode when scanning for disk space,
now it defaults to fast mode. Can someone explain the difference

Why do people always bring this up? Just because an app isn't updated
super frequently, does'nt mean that it automatically stops working as well
as it ever did. I installed this app, and everything went fine; I'm running
the latest version of iOS 7. it cleared up at least 600 MB for me

Will just say this from knowledge.
Most iPhone apps work also on the iPod Touch. Speciality apps that
requires use of phone specific features like Whatsapp will only work on
an iPhone. Having said that iClean is not such an app so yes it will
work on not only the iPod Touch but the iPad
