Battery usage in my opinion is much the same on my 5S, not better nor worse.
There have been some messages pointing out some of the good new features of iOS
8 which were posted yesterday.

My battery life has been significantly decreased since I updated my
iPhone 4S to IOS 8. I turned off auto brightness and lowered my screen
brightness, but I suspect there's another setting that I need to change
back to what it was before the update to get my battery life back to
where it was.

You might want to try checking to see if your Bluetooth is on. This has been
enabled by default after an iOS update ever since iOS 7 so that people who're
deaf-blind, people who rely solely on a braille display to interact with their
iDevice, won't get stuck with something that's unusable until

There are a lot of good things to be said about iOS eight. One feature I love,
is the ability to interact with the text un the lock screen.another feature I
love, is the predictive typing feature. It saves me a lot of time when I'm

toggling bluettooth on and off anyway, since I'm not a frequent
bluetooth user, so I caught this right away. I didn't think to check the
brightness right away though. It seems like I'm still not getting the
battery life I used
