Are you trying to open a item inside of an app? If that is the case then no you can't do that with siri. You have to double tap the item inside the app to open it. If you are just trying to open an app then you can do that with siri. -- The following information is important for all members

I'm not clear what you may be referring to. Every app on the device is represented by an icon. Once you find one on your home screen, you can double-tap it. If you want Siri to open something for you, you don't need to touch your home screen at all. You can simply ask it to open an app. For
