Hi Lynda, This is precisely why I prefer to dictate from within the specific app instead of using Siri for longer dictations. So in your example, if you go into the mail program and dictate from there, you can dictate, stop dictating to compose your thoughts and then resume dictating. Les On

Hi Linda. I'm assume you mean Siri. . In any case, I believe that around 30 seconds of dictation is usually the normal. Earlier I was dictating an email and got on a rant and before I knew it, I was cut off. I think it was right around 30 seconds. I haven't googled the information to be sure. H
