Hello, When comparing Nearby Explorer to Google Maps and Lazarillo, it seems Nearby Explorer unnecessarily complicates a walking route. This weekend I typed in a destination. From my starting point, Google Maps and Lazarillo outlined a route that was basically a capital L, whereas Nearby Explorer took half a dozen turns that seemed illogical for what should have been a straightforward route. This is not the first time I noticed the complicated route comparison.
In my Settings, Google is set as the address and search provider. I notice that route optimization is dimmed. That is to say, the apparent ability to find the fastest route is dimmed. I'm not sure if flipping that setting somehow would help? I really like Nearby Explorer's ability to call out upcoming intersections. I like the ability to point the phone vertically and get a sense of the next few streets ahead of me, but the unnecessary complicated routes makes this something of a nuisance. Can anyone offer any helpful tips? Thanks, Joe -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
