In the info from Learning Ally, the old app will stop working in December. The
new app gives you the option to add books to your bookshelf without using your
computer.

The major feature that the old app does not have is the ability to download
books into the app… You would have to physically go to the computer, put them
on your bookshelf, and then you could download them with the older app. Now
on there, and
download them all with one device. I have not played with the speed or anything
like that…

I just successfully downloaded and unzipped a 653-MB file using the latest iOS
on an iPHone 4S. I plugged in the iphone because I figured downloading
something that large would be likely to drain the battery, and I'm about 10
feet from my router. So it is possible to downlaod their
