Hello: is there away to add a phone number from the recent tab to one's
contacts?

If it is a missed call, there should be a, get info button next to the
missed call itself. This will allow you to create a new contact or add to an
existing contact.

Even if it is not a missed call, the process is the same. Find it in your list
of recent calls in the Phone app, flick right to the more info button, double
tap, and find either create new contact or add to existing contact,
depending on what you want to do.

contacts, Ihave a Cell number and a home number. You put in both
numbers; afterwards there's button for Iphone, Mobile and the like? OK
those you double tap and they change labels: to get to these lables upon
double tapping, swipe

choose for iMessage without opening the Messages app first.

Actually you can send iMessages to the numbers even if they're not labelled
as iPhone. The device recognizes the iMessage-compatible numbers, provided
you're logged into wifi or mobile internet.

When you enter one phone number, another phone field appears, so you can have
as many phone numbers for a contact as you like. Each phone number has a label,
such as Mobile or Work. To change it, double-tap, and then double-tap the label
you want.

addresses and many other details.
