Subject: Punctuation when dictating
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to dictate punctuation other than the comma or period.
What could we use for exclamation or question marks. When I try to dictate
those, of course, it writes the words rather than

phrase would be written, followed by what I actually said. If you look at what
I wrote word for word you will see the exclamation mark, comma, period, and
question mark all written out as in what you

word for the comma, and the period, you speak the names of the other
punctuations. Question mark for ? And exclamation mark for !

FYI: you can also say smiley or frowney to insert a smile or frown emoticon.
For me, I have to say frowney, not frown. So, that would be frown and smile
with an E sound at the end. I hope that makes sense.

You may be dictating them with pauses. Talk to your phone as if you were
talking to a person.

point on the end if I need to exclamation or the question

Just make sure that when you leave a voicemail for someone, or actually talk to
someone, that you don't start speaking the punctuation marks in your sentences.
I have caught myself doing this. LOL.
