In my case, the problem is intermittent, i.e. sometimes it'll read the
head line and sometimes I just get a beep. This will be true for the
exact same head line. I don't think it's the case that the head line
isn't labelled.

In that case, practice your gestures in settings, general, accessibility,
voice-over, practice area. Also, be certain your focus is in the main part of
the display. If you touch the edge and pause before flicking, the focus may
shift to the status bar which can cause such complications.

I've noticed this too in the Dolphins app, the app for the Miami
Dolphins of the NFL. I've been meaning to ask if others have seen it in
apps for other teams in the NFL.

What do you do when you encounter this?
Do you double tap on every story to see what it is/what it's about?

swipe back up in the other direction, and sometimes I'll hear a few more
