Caller ID works for me. the problem with it is that voiceover needs to
speak before the ringtone starts or you will not hear it.

I don’t know about navigation by headings in Voice Dream as I have never
attempted that. However, I use Voice Dream extensively. I updated from IOS
7.1.2 to IOS 8.1 on Saturday and to 8.1.1 today

In one of the VoiceDream updates, Winston added the ability to adjust the
navigation unit so that you would swipe down with one finger on the play button
to jump by the amount you selected on the Navigation setting which is just to
the right

Same here regarding notifications. Although it seems somewhat better, it is
still hit or miss for me. Some read perfectly while others do not.
