Recently I have found an issue when searching from albums and artests but have
no problems when searching for tracks. My work around is to find a track from
the artest or album you want and play, tap info on the top left and then on the
top right section of the screen are options to go to the a

I have never experienced any issues with the search feature.
When I'm looking for an artist I first double tap on the artist button and type
in what I'm looking for and then search.
The only thing I can think of is that what you are looking for is actually not
available on Spotify.
