Look at DropText. It does synch with DropBox but is closest to the old
Windows Notes program I have found. I am pretty sure it is free.

Have you tried Drafts 4? The number 4 is the version, but it is a great app for
taking notes one at a time or whatever.

Kim, I have used Drafts4 for what you want. Not quite like Word or pages, but a
nice little app for quick learning. I wish Apple would have put it on iPhone as
they did the new iPad, but well worth the 10 dollars I paid for it in my
opinion.
