I can't really remember I was buying on sale books like crazy. I called a team
member at Apple and they took care of it. Its great to have friends and co

I don't know if this will help, but I experienced a similar problem with
Audible after I downloaded a book on my Mac yesterday. The solution was to
refresh the view as there was a refresh button, and the book then appeared.

I know there are audio book apps which give you access to public domain
books, but normally books are found in iTunes. Are you talking about an
eBook or an audio book?

Did you try downloading again? If it's not in purchases, but it's saying
you bought it, you probably want to contact the iTunes store support.
