I find Google Maps more VO friendly. If you have Google Maps installed you can
tell Siri give me driving directions to XYZ with Google Maps and it works just
like using Apple Maps, but I find the interface with Google to be much better.

When my husband and I travel, I just ask Siri for directions to wherever we're
going, and the map will open, and directions are spoken. Once the map opens, I
usually have to turn off Voiceover, as it competes with the spoken directions
