When you say she wants you to have it, does that mean she is giving it to you
for free? If so then I would simply thank her and take it, just because it's an
older Mac doesn't mean you won't get some use out of it, it will still have
Voiceover even though you probably won't be able to have SIRI

maybe the reason, it can't be not updated is because it maybe an old Mac, which
finally update was Yosemite. But yu can stil get a mac if you want, in order to
learn the commands and check if you like itand so on. I fyou
