Double tap add, then select web site as your source.
Double tap on the edit field and flick right to the clear text button if
anything was there.
Turn the rotor to edit, then flick down to paste and double tap.

I don't know where I got the idea it needed to be a double tap and hold. I was
looking for the option that Mary described, and I'd forgotten the link copy
approach. I'm bookmarking your responses for the next time I do this!

When I get
A link to a PDF file, I double tap the link as I would for any link. After a
few seconds, the PDF loads. But before the text of the PDF, you should see a
couple of links or choices, one of which is open in iBooks. The other of which
