I updated mine over the air and it all went fine. One thing I do like, that
might help some people that have low vision like myself is the new keyboard has
a darker letter color.

I'm not sure what version of IOS you'd be upgrading from, but I upgraded
my iPhone 4S from 7.0.6 to 7.1, and I'm glad I did. I find it snappier
than 7.0.6, and I'm glad I don't hear screen lock throughout the day.
