It doesn’t matter if you leave or delete them. After updating their icons
will indicate that they’re in the cloud and if you interact with the icon it’ll
give you the choice to keep perhaps in fle
If you tap one of them by mistake, it will tell you that it can't be run, with
an opportunity to contact the developer. According to Jonathan Mosen's book,
IOS 11 Without The Eye, which I do recommend, if you leave them on your phone,
and they are ever updated, they will show up as an update.

Yeah, I had a few that wouldn’t run. If there was no newer version in the
store, just had to delete them.

Nothing will happen. I know I have a few apps that won't work that I
