That's correct but my QWERTY keyboard doesn't announce the key strokes with
out it being on.

I just reach up on the screen and perform the rotor gesture until I get to
the one I want. Peace-o-cake! Then when I use the left and right buttons,
they then move by what ever you have it set to for example, words.
