I love night mode on feeddler. I'm visually impaired and although I don't have
enough site to read my screen, the brightness gets to me after a while. I like
when apps offer an option to have a dark background.
:) I don't want my iPhone in reverse mode all the time though.

I disagree with the other responders, although i can no longer see to validate
this answer, when I could see, night mode in GPS products did the following:
In day mode the background would usually be a bright colour, say white, with
streets being black, green and other colours indicating
Night mode usually applies to the brightness of the screen. At night you
don't need the screen as bright as you would in the middle od a sunny day.
