Mary, I cannot say that I have experienced any choppy behavior using VO on an Apple TV. I wonder if there is a pattern such as some specific action etc. where you experience or are more likely to experience this issue? On Jun 24, 2012, at 1:27 PM, Mary Otten wrote: > I wasn't sure which list

Hi Scott, No, the choppiness seems to be pretty much throughout navigation, in top level menuy and within menus. Words are chopped off, and not just the first word of a sentence. I have the apple tv connected to a surround sound receiver, which is connected to a big screen tv. The sound is quite

Mary, Are you referring to either the second or third gen Apple TV? If so, I can't imagine why you would be getting choppy speech. We have 2 of the second gen and 1 of the third gen all on the same WiFi network and I have never gotten choppy speech on any of them. Wonder if it might be a bad Wi

Mary, Do you have the speech set to the maximum speed? I have to admit this one sure has me stumped. You could possibly take the extreme and reblast the software, but this involves getting a mini USB cable to standard USB connection so you can hook it to your computer and download the firmware

Hi Rick, It is a 2nd gen apple tv. If I use the apple tv remote, what would the wifi connection have to do with anything? With so many people not having the problem, it is clearly something here. There is no problem with the streaming audio, hence my question why the wifi connection would be a p

I haven't tried a reset recently. I suppose that can't hurt. Is that in one of the menus or do I have to find a hidden button somewhere on the apple tv itelf to do a reset? I have no clue about redownloading the software, but I have a Mac, so if that has to be done, I guess that could be looked

Thanks, Rick. No, I've had this apple tv too long. Not under waranty. I think I should probably try connecting it to a stereo amp I have and just seeing what happens there with vo. It won't show movies, because with no tv connection, things flake out, sadly, but at least if the VIO remains chopp

Mary, I have not reset one via the unit itself, but there should be a reset option in the menus. THe software reblast is a lot more fun since you have to find the appropriate cable and try a reset via the Apple TV itself first before graduating to the next level. If you do then I'll dig up the
