I have to agree with Don on this. How does having the subject agree with the content of the message screw things up on the web site? How is this more confusing than having a subject line which no longer has anything to do with the message or the thread? I also don't see how using a new message

Hi Steve, Sign in to the list website, link is at the bottom of each message. Make sure you are signed in with your google account. Find the My Settings button, then there is an option to edit your mail and list settings and here you find the setting where you can change how you receive messages
