You can share the same Apple ID for purchases but each have your own ID for
iCloud. That's how my family does it, and it works great. We can share

don't want her contacts or email so having the same Apple ID makes it
possible to not have to buy more than one copy of an app but having a
separate ICloud account makes it possible for her to sink data between
her phone and IPad

Open settings and select iCloud. Find notes and switch off. This should stop
notes from syncing between devices.

Separate apple ids.
Mrs and I have our own devices, more than one each, so need to synch our
stuff between our own devices, but not each others.
