You do have the Audible app? There should be on their cloud tab a listing of all the books in your library, just open the title you want, select the various parts and in a bit it should all be on your iPhone. I realize you won't be using the built-in music player that way but it is easier and for me the ability to speed up the reading speed a bit is the really up side, that and the sleep timer.
Good luck, I was very grateful for the Audible app when I restored my 4 once, it took a few minutes but the up side was that a couple of items I had not been able to delete off the phone were not returned because I did not select them for download.
