Only way to get ringtones onto your iPhone is via iTunes. You have to add the file to your iTunes tone library, just go to File, Add File to Library and browse to your M4R file. Then once it's in your tones library in iTunes, connect your phone, go to your device and check the tones radio button. Then either check to sync all ringtones or you can sync selected tones and then check the ones you want in the listview where they all show up. Once that is done go to Sync and activate it.
