Hi Tess,

That’s a small bug which has been discussed and which at least I can easily
avoid on my 5S by not flicking to the right after I open up the text or email
notification sound screen, but instead I just touch the screen in the middle
somewhere to place focus in the list of tones. As soon as I do that I can then
flick left to the start of the list or right to the end and select any tone I
wish.

If you don’t hear your text notification sound, first make sure that in
Settings, Sounds, the ringer and alert volume slider is all the way up to 100%
or at least high enough to where you can hear it. You may want to check to see
if “Change with buttons” is turned on and if so, you can turn this off and this
will avoid the issue that you may accidently lower the volume of alerts and the
phone ringer sound by lowering it with the volume buttons on the side.

Regards,

Sieghard

Subject: texting sounds

Hello all,

Hoping someone can assist me in this bug problem.

I have the 4S, and have recently updated to the latest version of the IOS.

Lately, I have not been hearing the alert that notifies me when I have a text
message.

I have tried to go into the sounds and into the section where you can change
text notification sounds.

Once I start flicking to the right, the phone knocks me completely out of the
settings mode and back to my home page of my Iphone.

I have shut down my phone and turned it back on, but it knocks me out at the
exact same spot every time.

I can get to where it says something like vibrate notification or something for
texting before it knocks me out and back to my home page.

Any help, or work around for this bug would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
