I am also experiencing this issue. I updated to 7.1. And the Siri female voice
does sound a lot more robotic. So I switched it to a mail voice. The male voice
does not sound robotic although I would like to have the female voice back, I
can't stand how robotic sounding it sounds now.

The UK female voice sounds robotic too. Any ideas? I think this was
brought up when discussing 7.0 but here in the UK we could only use the
male voice which was high quality so wasn't an issue for me until I
updated to 7.1.

I agree that they did not update the American voice but the female voice sounds
very robotic, while my male voice sounds human. I thought these voices were
vocalizer expressive voices or something like that. I also thought that when
ios 7 was released that Apple promised more human sounding
