Dear listers

I’ve had this issue for many months and I hope with each new iOS release that
it will be sorted but no luck as yet and I was wondering if anyone else
experiences it and may have a fix. Siri can hear me if I get close to the
phone’s built in microphone but not when I speak into the earbud microphone. I
have a 5S running iOS8.3 (although as I say it’s been a feature for many
months) and with the earbuds plugged in the remote can trigger Siri quite
happily but then I need to talk into the phone to get her to hear me.

The mic in the remote works for calls (and I have checked with callers that
they can hear me equally when I am far from the phone and near so the mic on
the remote is definitely working) but no Siri and no keyboard dictation except
through the phone’s mic. All other functions of the remote work fine too.

Any ideas or suggestions welcomed.

Thanks, Robin
