Hello Lynn, Are you writing on a braille display or using the onscreen braille keyboard? You can change the defaults for both in Braille Settings in VoiceOVer SEttings. If you're using a display, use dots 2-3-6-chord (a low-cell 8) to toggle between contracted, six-dot, and eight-dot braille.

Sent from my iPhoneI have been humming right along writing in Grade 2 braille until a couple of days ago and now I get a notice on the rotor screen that I am in sic dot braille mode. I’ve checked the rotor settings and everything is set to contracted braille. But I still am unable to write.
