I reported this to KNFB support yesterday. They are aware of the issue and is
in the process of correcting the problem. I was told that it is an issue with
the cameras in the 6 and 6 plus. It has something to do with how the camera is
focusing. I was told that they hope to have an update pushed
Hello,
Well I finally got my hands on the KNFB Reader app and I am just a little
frustrated at this point so I am in hopes of finding someone who has
experienced the same sluggishness with their version as I have with mine.
I have installed it on both my iPhone 6 plus and my wife’s iPhone 6
I'm having the same problem, and I'm not sure who to report it to, because I'm
not sure if it's an Apple problem, or a KNFB Reader problem.

I just had an email response from KNFB Reader support that told me that they
know about the issue and that they are investigating the latency issues with
the interface and will have an update to the app soon that will fix the issue.
He also told me that the latency is due to the camera access
According to the KNFB Reader account, they know the app is sluggish on the 6
series under iOS8.0.2 and an update is forthcoming.

Hi. Thanks for the info. Perhaps the upcoming update will address sluggishness
that I ran across on an iPad Mini yesterday as well. Hope so, anyway.

I would take the iPhone back to Apple for a check. It sounds like a hardware
problem.
