To turn on caps lock you have to triple tap the shift key or you can put one finger on it and then do a double split tap, i.e. tap twice with the second finger when the first is on shift. To take it off caps lock you just have to touch it again once. I find this works very reliably and easily.

I agree on this. Just tested it out with my 6S Plus and it works. Touch the Shift, lift up your finger and then tripple tap quickly. It doesn't have to be in the upper part, i succeeded by tapping the Shift button position. S poštovanjem Gordan Radić

I had this problem on the same phone and iOS combo. What seems to have helped is that after touching the shift control, I do the triple tap to lock shift on the upper half of the screen. I can’t say this helped all the time, but it seems to help often. Keith From: viphone@googlegroups.com
