What iOS device and model are you using? If an older device, I would be surprised if VO wasn't more sluggish. David Chittenden, MSc, MRCAA Email: dchitten...@gmail.com Mobile: +64 21 2288 288 Sent from my iPhone On 20/09/2012, at 12:43, Marissa wrote: > I have noticed Voiceovr is sluggish wit

Hello, After I upgraded my iPhone 4 today, I noticed my screen curtain was not working. Three-finger triple-tap caused VO to announce off and on status, but the screen remained bright. Wonderful, I thought, such a basic VO bug. So, I decided I would investigate when I got home this evening. Bef

I recall reading somewhere that the 3 finger triple tap for the screen curtain has been moved to the 3 finger quadruple tap. The 3 finger triple tap mutes/unmutes speech, and I don't recall what the 3 finger double tap does now, but it is one of the new features/enhancements in iOS 6. Hth, Wayne

Wayne, a three finger triple tap yields the screen curtain message from VoiceOver, so I sure hope the screen curtain is being activated. Les On Sep 20, 2012, at 3:48 PM, Wayne Merritt wrote: > I recall reading somewhere that the 3 finger triple tap for the screen > curtain has been moved to the

Hello, I am currently using iOS6, and the three finger taps all work the same. That is the three finger double tap turns on and off speech, the three finger triple tap turns on and off the screen curtain. So, I don't see any changes. Sent from my Sprint iPhone 4S On Sep 20, 2012, at 12:48 PM, W

Interestingly, both a three or four finger tapp will turn the screen curtain on. Perhaps the three finger tap will be deprecated at some point? Hmm, never know. On Sep 20, 2012, at 4:00 PM, Dan wrote: > Hello, > I am currently using iOS6, and the three finger taps all work the same. That > i

Wayne, I also recall reading something about the four finger tap and thought perhaps that was an error, so apparently it is then. Seemed odd that Apple would change the command. On Sep 20, 2012, at 4:05 PM, Wayne Merritt wrote: > Sorry for the confusion. I just tried the 3 finger triple tap m

Like I stated in a previous message, the screen curtain was announced, but did not actually work. The same was true for the two-finger double-tap to end a call. As I also stated, turning my iPhone off and back on resolved the problems. My supposition is that, because I did an over-the-air upgrad

Actually, for any number of fingers, when a number of taps is done rapidly which is one number more than that required for the highest number feature (such as triple-tap with three fingers for screen curtain), the highest number action is performed and the additional tap is ignored by VO. The on
