Hi Everyone,
I just tried to start an e-mail message to someone from my contacts list, which
I have done literally thousands of times, and when I double-tapped the "add
contact" button and scrolled down to the name I wished to select, I got the
prompt that the contact was dimmed. I am complete
Does the contact that you are trying to email have there email address in the
contact card in contacts?

To add some one's email address to the contact card first open contacts. Next
swipe to the contact in question and then double tapp.
Next swipe to the edit button and then double tap.
Next swipe to the insert add email button and then double tap.
