Tell him to turn Quick Nav off. Then the keyboard should work. For some reason,
Voiceover won't announce the characters but when you press the spacebar, the
words are spoken. I hope this helps,

hello all, I have a friend who is having a problem with the standard apple
blue tooth keyboard and voice over.
the problem is as follows.
with voice over on all the letter keys and space bar do not work, how
ever all the other keyboard keys are working fine.
