Reply means that you are replying to one person. Reply all means that if there
are a lot of addresses in the cc field of your email you are replying to
everyone that the email was sent to. I hope this helps.

reply all sends it to every address in the to or cc fields. On the Mac, reply
all is cmd-shift-r if you want to look at the difference.
