This morning I started experiencing the same issue. I will keep an eye on it and if it keeps occurring, I will return it to Apple. I took some lens cleaner and sprayed it on a tissue and cleaned the iPhone screen. Hopefully, that will help. Regards, Gadget Girl Anita Sent from my Apple gadge

Yes, just a few days ago, I redid my thumb. The second time around, I made sure to have my thumb both sideways and straight on. It is more natural for me to hold my phone with one hand and use my thumb at more of an angle to unlock it. If I could tack on a question here: Has anyone successful
