I'm fairly certain you can only play Overdrive MP3 books on the iDevice. WMA is
a Windows format, and also, the files have a lot of protected content, so may
not play in anything other than Overdrive without self-destructing. I hope I'm
wrong, though. I can't test it, since you can only use Wind

I'm no expert, but i suspect this may be to do with drm. I also use
Overdrive, but I had to install a special add-on for wma in order for it
to be able to play the files. but, don't ask me any more than that,
because I don't know.

I have not tried the Overdrive audio books but would it be possible to
convert them to mp3 or m4a with a file converter such as Switch? There are
several good programs for playing mp3 or m4a books such as Audi
Switch will not convert the wma files from Overdrive. They are copy
protected.

Has anyone tried to play audio book files that are in the WMA format on an
IPhone?
Overdrive told me the IPhone is not wma compatible when I tried to transfer
them using overdrive.
When I moved them over myself they just don't seem to play.
Any thoughts on this?
