it just in case. This is to turn off iCloud Keychain just
before resetting network settings and turning it back on after the reset. The
reason I do this is that once I didn't, and resetting network settings resulted
in all of my passwords being deleted.

Sieghard, I assume that resetting network settings will also cause you to
lose all wi-fi password settings for any previous networks you've logged on
to. If one moves around a lot to many different wi-fi networks, losing this
can be a major inconvenience. Obviously, the cost of this inconvenience

Yes, if you use 5 or 6 different WiFi networks then that could be
inconvenient. I mostly use my Home WiFi and my work WiFi and a couple of
