Hi Bart,

Hi All,

I'm trying to connect to my ldap server ( at ldaps:// so secured ) from the
"LDAP Servers" page in the conductor under the "user accounts" tab.

Its not very clear what is intented with all the fields, and the error
messages are quiet minimal.
furthermore, looking at the logs of our ldap server the queries do not seem
to make sense either.

I couldn't find any usefull documentation on the website, did I miss
anything ?

There are fixes in Conductor LDAP UI implementation included today in the VOS 6.1.2 release on sourceforge.net.
Please get the latest Conductor UI and try again.

The base steps for adding LDAP Server from Conductor are as following:

1. Go to System Admin -> User Accounts -> LDAP Servers
2. In the shown form enter in:
  1. Host Name: for ex.: ldap.example.com
     * note you can also use ldap:// or ldaps:// in front of Host name
  2. Base: for ex.: o=MyCompany,c=DE
  3. Base DN: for ex: ou=Accounts,o=MyCompany,c=DE
  4. UID field: uid
  5. Account: for ex: joe
  6. Password: *******
  7. LDAP version: choose for ex. 3

You can first check the connection with "Test".
Then if is successful, you should click "Add".

The next steps is LDAP Import where you can import various data from your LDAP server.

Please let us know if the steps from above worked for you.

Best Regards,
Rumi

With Regards
Bart van Leeuwen
