I am trying to build and install Perl on my Alpha 4100, running VMS
7.2-1, with Compaq C V6.2-003. The MAKE utility is MMK (MadGoat Make Utility),
V3.8-1.
I downloaded the sources from www.perl.com/CPAN, unpacked and built the with
