Hello
I'd like any war stories or experience with using VNC to control and use a

Is there anyone out there who has used VNC to remotely control a JDE

VNC 3.3.4 does not provide the Microsoft Visual C/C++ runtime DLLs
because the executable and hooks DLL are instead statically linked to
them - only the files in the RealVNC directory are required by the
server. We made a deliberate decision to avoid installing shared files,
to avoid compatibility

Hi,
First of all, thank you for your response.
Sorry about not being clear. Problem is I don't have the files listed in
the *.rcm file. RealVNC 3.3.4 package installs only omnithread2_rt.dll,
vnchooks.dll and winvnc.exe. Hence my question about extracting the files
on the _RealVNC_ package.

Hi
I have the same problem asked by [EMAIL PROTECTED] on 04/30/2002.I wonder why
it works fine in an applet and has the problem in an application? Is it because the
version of java source(3.3.3r2) is different from the version of java classes in
WinVNC(3.3.3r9)?
what is the Java Viewer version
I am using STRCM and it works brilliant. The files you need is listed
in the *.rcm file. Just install VNC on your machine and copy the files
to the directory specified in the *.rcm file.

Anyonw knows how individual files can be extracted from the WinVNC 3.3.4
installation package (VNC-3.3.4-X86_WIN32.EXE)?
I need the files on that VNC distribution to install the software product
on remote computers thru the free STRCM tool.
(extract from the STRCM.htm help file)

It happens when you press capslock on the host machine, instead of
'activating capslock' on the remote machine as well, it just seems to 'hold
shift down'... pressing shift (both) will release the 'hold' and problems
will disappear.

To remove Icon on Windows 2k,XP and NT.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
Remove the Winvnc helper service.
To disable properties
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]

Does anyone have the vncviewer.exe compiled with this patch applied? I
would appreciate it if I could download it from somewhere, I don't have
my env. set up to compile VNC on Windows.
Thanks.
