At my friends house.. they have a desktop and a laptop both running Windows 2k.. the laptop cannot vnc into the desktop. But I can VNC into the desktop from my house. The laptop can vnc into my server at my house also..but to the desktop it cannot. The port is open on the router and is being fo

Yeah.. It's pretty obvious that SOMETHING is listening on port 5900... I'd double-check the services to make sure you don't have an older version of VNC still there. I've done that a time or two, especially with the Devel version of TightVNC which doesn't install into registry, it only installs as

Andrew, "Poll console windows for updates" causes console windows (.e.g. Command Prompt windows) to be polled for updates, since the normal VNC Hooks mechanism doesn't work for such windows. You may wish to try VNC Server Personal or Enterprise Edition (http://www.realvnc.com/products/enterprise)
