O Wise Ones - I'm trying to get VNC Server running on a Solaris 10 machine.
When I try to connect from a Windows XP client machine on the local area
network, I get a "connection refused (10061)" message. The necessary ports
on the Solaris machine are open, and there is no firewall between us.

To wit, I have had machines with either an old version of Real VNC or not
having the setting of "send special keys . . ." selected. The time I found
this out by working on machines that are failing or having some type of

Try reinstalling the VNC server for Service-Mode ("unregister" it and then
"register" it again). That will normally fix things up.

You just need to disable "Send special
Try vncrobot: it has screen capture in whole or part, and this can be
manual or automated. It's a well thought out java application with
scope for many uses, and has good online documentation.
