Is there a way - a patch, an add-on, etc that will allow Real VNC to
have multiple passwords?
The situation is this - we use VNC for our Help Desk to remotely
connect, but we also have a lot of vendor supported apps and they need
to connect to workstations to view the user issues themselves. We d
Hi Roger,
It sounds like you're looking for something like VNC Enterprise Edition
(http://www.realvnc.com/products/enterprise), which allows users to
authenticate to the VNC Server using full Windows, NT Domain or Active
Directory credentials. It also provides full in-built session security,

That would be a useless patch so no one would do it. VNC has separate
password management from os and anyone who logged in would be able to
change the password. I would just make up some password and use it.
That said, if you use vnc enterprise edition you can authenticate your

Getting VNC to connect from work to home is trivial provided two things:
(1) egress filtering is not applied at work on your VNC ports
(2) you have a clue about how to network.

Hy there,
i want to connect my Win XP client to a Win NT workstation with 4 monitors
(multi-vga graphics card). At the NT machine Siemens WINCC 5.0 SP2 is
running. Can i display one of the several screens from the WINCC or do i
need an other software (e.g. enterprise edition)?

Hi Stefan,
As far as I'm aware, Windows NT 4 has no multi-monitor support, so VNC
Server will have no way to refer to just one of the monitors of the
multi-VGA card.
Cheers,
