Using network VNC with Internet connection

computer can no longer find my VNC viewer in the listening mode, nor can my VNC viewer find the host/viewer whether I use the host local IP address or its actual IP address. Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do? Thanks for the help. -- Duncan Long --
