Hi: I have recently upgraded my computer to windows 2000 professional from windows 98 (in fact reformatted the disk and installed from scratch). After that VNC stopped working for me. It comes-up with a gray screen with a message "Please wait - initial screen loading" and doesn't go forward from it.
I am connecting to a solaris machine using cable modem. I can connect to the same vncserver from my windows 98 machine. No problems. I have upgraded the drivers and played with the settings from 256 color, 16-bit color and 32-bit colors and different resolutions (from 640 x480 to 1280 x 960). >From the FAQ, i understand this as a problem but there is no clear solution.
