To the best of my knowledge Apache will only proxy HTTP and FTP. It might
be possible to work something out with the CONNECT method, but tha
enterprise version)?

There's your answer.
IIUC what you want to do is possible with the Enterprise version of VNC
(haven't tried it myself). With the free version the Java viewer is just
like any other viewer and requires commun
er on any
ports. The Apache Linux server is on the same subnet as the WinXP
server.

shows up in my browser and a "Java applet Window" with the
