Hi,

Note - I am not very technically capable on Linux -
so don't assume I know much. I am just trying to
report an dhopefully get a fix for a problem.

I have run various versions of Fedora on my
machine. The only version that seems anywhere near
stable, i.e. machine does not hag or crash within
minutes of booting is kernel 2.6.5.

However, on this FC2 / 2.6.5 kernel, if I connect in
using VNC (version4 client and server) - within
approaximately the Linux VNC server disconnects the
clients and its console either "loops" messages or
shows a "fixed screen" of messages.

Does this look anything like a VNC problem or
should I post elsewhere?

I cannot find these messages in any /var/log/*
file so I have written them down and typed them in as
well as I can.

"Scrolling" messages

Message format on the "console"
[<nnnnnn>] -call console_Drivers +0x ... etc
[<nnnnnn>] -do page_fault +0x ... etc
[<nnnnnn>] -show trace
[<nnnnnn>] -show_stack
[<nnnnnn>] -show_registers
[<nnnnnn>] -die +0x ... etc .....

"Fixed" messages
Various actions were taken on the Linux machine such
as using Nautilus file browser were carried out
through VNC.

Linux machine ran for about 5 minutes then "locked".

The following messages appeared on the local Linux
console.
